Pool Builder Licensing and Insurance Requirements in Texas
Texas doesn't license general contractors the way some states do, which makes it more important, not less, to confirm insurance and trade-specific licensing directly. Bridgeland and Towne Lake both route pool and backyard plans through an HOA architectural control committee before construction, and lakefront or lake-adjacent lots carry their own drainage and setback rules on top of that.

What Texas Does and Doesn't Require
Texas has no statewide general contractor license requirement, but electrical and plumbing work on a pool project is performed by state-licensed electricians and plumbers regardless of who the general contractor is, and that licensing is verifiable through the relevant state board.
What to Ask For Directly
Ask for proof of general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and ask which licensed electrician and plumber are performing that portion of the work, their license numbers are a matter of public record. A builder confident in its own documentation will produce this without hesitation.
